Daisy Group and Phoenix Managed Networks Launch Solution in Line with New PCI Regulations

Solution comes at a pivotal time with emerging, new Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS)

Leading telecommunications provider, Daisy Group has joined forces with Phoenix Managed Networks, to offer a PCI Level One Certified, cloud-based network security and management service. The new service, PhoeniXSentry, is available just in time for businesses needing to meet new PCI DSS standards.

PhoeniXSentry, offers security for the processes and data carried through transactional networks, to which Daisy Group will be providing telephone line, internet connectivity, a managed installation service and the option of 3G failover.

The new service boasts Level One PCI DSS Certification and is supported by a security appliance that is independently certified by ICSA Labs. PhoeniXSentry not only protects the customer’s existing network, but runs payment data over a physically separate network for added security.

“This solution is one of a kind,” said Nathan Marke, CTO at Daisy Group. “There are no other services that can offer voice, data and mobile connectivity, all supported by around-the-clock management. Given the sensitive nature of the data that transactional networks hold and the hefty fines that security breaches ensue, it is more important than ever to safe harbour your business.”

The launch of PhoeniXSentry, comes at a pivotal time for the transactional networking market, as new PCI regulations come into fruition.

“Approximately 80 percent of businesses are still operating outside the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards. With solutions like PhoeniXSentry, we aim to make compliance easier for the UK market,” said Marke.

“Our partnership with Daisy Group will make it very easy for both direct and indirect customers to meet the daily challenges associated with internet security, while continually meeting their PCI DSS requirements,” states Alan Stephenson-Brown, Senior Vice President of International Sales and Business Development for Phoenix Managed Networks. “Bringing a comprehensive solution to market will alleviate most of the associated burdens without significant impacts on costs, especially in light of the new changes to the PCI mandate.”
